The Port wine market is now shaped by several large corporate groups and families that unite multiple traditional houses and brands under one umbrella. Independent family businesses and individual houses with their own ownership structures also remain active.
The following diagrams show the current organisational affiliations. Historical names are included only when they still exist as a brand, Port house or operating unit.

Important recent changes
- Since 2025, Sogevinus Fine Wines has operated under the name Kopke Group. The houses Kopke, Cálem, Burmester and Barros remain part of the portfolio.
- In 2023, the operating company Gran Cruz was renamed Granvinhos. Porto Cruz and the other brand names remain in use.
- As of September 2026, Rozès remains part of Maison Pommery & Associés. Discussions regarding a sale to Henkell Freixenet ended without an agreement in August 2026.
- Feuerheerd’s is now part of The Wine Collection. Its historical connection with Quinta de la Rosa does not represent a current ownership relationship.

Context and scope
The diagrams distinguish between legal or organisational affiliation and merely historical connections. A quinta is therefore shown under a house only when the reviewed sources indicate that it currently belongs to its operations or brand portfolio.
Where possible, the overview names the family that currently controls a family business. This does not necessarily mean that all shares are held exclusively by that family. Listed companies and companies controlled through holding structures are shown through the publicly identifiable parent structure.
Wine, spirits and tourism brands of the groups without a direct connection to Port wine are excluded. The overview also focuses on well-known, still-active Port houses and brands; it is not a complete register of all bottlers registered with the Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e do Porto.
Assignments not yet fully confirmed
- J.H. Andresen: Secondary sources name the Flores dos Santos family as the owner family. A sufficiently clear and current official statement of ownership was not publicly available.
- Blackett: The brand is operated by Alchemy Wines, Port Wines & Vineyards. The underlying ultimate beneficial owners could not be conclusively confirmed from publicly available primary sources.
