Quarles Harris was founded in 1680 and is one of the early Port houses. Today the brand is owned by the Symington family.
During the 19th century the house became linked with Warre & Co. In the 1920s Quarles Harris was revived by Andrew James Symington and Reginald Quarles Harris.
The house style is described as firm and slightly dry. Traditionally, many grapes have been sourced from small growers in the Rio Torto Valley.
